Alexander M. Scherbakov

PhD. In 2002, he graduated from the Faculty of Physics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University with a degree in biophysics. Between 2002 and 2017, he worked in the Laboratory of Clinical Biochemistry at the N.N. Trapeznikov Scientific Research Institute of Clinical Oncology of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology. From 2017 he serves as the Head of the Oncoproteomics Laboratory of the Institute of Carcinogenesis. His scientific interests are associated with the search for new antitumor compounds, analysis of signaling pathways in resistant tumors, as well as studies of steroid hormones and steroidogenesis. He is a laureate of the N.N. Blokhin National Medical Research Center of Oncology award for young scientists (2006), FEBS YTF grant (2009, 2011), Biotech foundation award (2010), ESMO Merit Award (2017, 2018), OECI Award (2018). In 2021, he received gratitude from the President of the Russian Federation for achievements in the field of healthcare. He is a supervisor and participant of projects supported by the Protek Foundation, RFBR and RSF. Reviewer of the Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bulletin of Experimental Biology and Medicine, Frontiers and MDPI, South African Medical Research Council, Czech Science Foundation journals. Editor of the Women's Cancer section of the Frontiers in Oncology journal. RSF expert.
